i saw one of the greatest and most innovative bands ever tonight
WILCO
they were incredible
at one point Jeff Tweedy was playing guitar and holding everything together
while it seemed everything around him was falling apart...beautiful noise
i can hardly explain it...ME!!!
i always have something to say, especially when it comes to music...but i really dont know what to say
or even how to explain what happened tonight...

anyways...school is almost over, but i am taking 2 classes over the summer...
Intro To Voice Training
and Piano...i am just continuing with it cos if i take a few months off, i wont practice and i will suck
im not sure what i am taking for next fall though

i really like Samuel Adams brew
white ale
winter lager
boston lager
i think pretty much all of them...i think they even have an assorted 12 pack you can get

i dont drink Rolling Rock or Killians anymore...maybe i will if i come back to Florida to visit

im naked

how do you do this again...?

everyone has gone to myspace
im bored with it...im going back to the LJ...plus nobldoy reads this anymore, so i guess i can use it as a real journal
so im gonna put a bunch of serious thoughts and stuff on here...
so here i go
i really like this mainstream rock song on the radio, its called "HATE ME" by Blue October
i almost cried when i first heard it..."what a pussy i am" i thought
here's the lyrics

"I have to block out thoughts of you so I don’t lose my head
They crawl in like a cockroach leaving babies in my bed
Dropping little reels of tape to remind me that I’m alone
Playing movies in my head that make a porno feel like home
There's a burning in my pride, a nervous bleeding in my brain
An ounce of peace is all I want for you. will you never call again?
And will you never say you that love me just to put in my face?
And will you never try to reach me? it is I that wanted space

Hate me today
Hate me tomorrow
Hate me so you can finally see what’s good for you

I’m sober now for 3 whole months it’s one accomplishment that you helped me with
The one thing that always tore us apart is the one thing I won’t touch again
And in a sick way I want to thank you for holding my head up late at night
While I was busy waging wars on myself, you were trying to stop the fight
You never doubted my warped opinions on things like suicidal hate
You made me compliment myself when it was way too hard to take
So I’ll drive so fucking far away that I never cross your mind
And do whatever it takes in your heart to leave me behind

Hate me today
Hate me tomorrow
Hate me for all the things I didn’t do for you

Hate me in ways
Yeah ways hard to swallow
Hate me so you can finally see what’s good for you

And with a sad heart I say bye to you and wave
Kicking shadows on the street for every mistake that I had made
And like a baby boy I never was a man
Until I saw your blue eyes bright and I held your face in my hand
And then fell down yelling “make it go away!”
Just make a smile come back and shine just like is used to be
And then she whispered “how can you do this to me?”

Hate me today
Hate me tomorrow
Hate me for all the things I didn’t do for you

Hate me in ways
Yeah ways hard to swallow
Hate me so you can finally see what’s good for you"

read this...its from duncan

White Limousine
December 2nd, 2005 by duncan >

So the single is going to radio. One of the radio reps at Rounder asked me on behalf of some of the stations she talks to what the song is really about.ext week. Is White Limo about our American Idol, reality-tv culture, or is it an anti-bush song? Here was my reply …

Hi Katrinka,

It’s both. In my humble opinion, the tacky, wasteful, over-hyped part of our entertainment culture and the scary political reality we now face in this country are both symptoms of a deeper problem. I think the problem is philosophical. It seems like many of us in this country find powerful ways to either not look into what’s going on in the rest of the world, or to rationalize the state of the world by means of some messianic fantasy. Whether you are too busy reading about Brangelina to read a book about 20th century middle-eastern history, or you just assume that what happens in the middle-east is a biblical foregone conclusion, those are both ways of avoiding the more difficult reality of our complicated world. It is Bush that I’m poking fun at in the second verse of the song and his “mission accomplished” speech that I’m referencing at the end, but I’m not really villainizing him. I feel bad for him that, because his world-view is so inaccurate, he makes such terrible decisions. I also feel bad for people on the streets of New York when, on the anniversary of 9/11, a fire-truck covered in American flags flies down the street with Josh Groban’s “Wings of an Eagle” blaring from it’s speakers, assaulting everyone with the worst possible combination of Jingoism and bad taste that you could possibly concoct. But, there it is, and I really do wish Josh, George, Brad, Jen, and Angelina a holiday season filled with good friends, family, warmth and all the happiness that freedom can buy.

Cheers,
DS

TRUE BELIEVER

rebecca vs. mexico will be recording a cover song for their EP which will be recorded in JAN 2006
this is the song...one of my favorites...cant wait to actually cover and record it

"True Believer" (Richard Baluyut, James Baluyut, Fontaine Toups, Pat Ramos)

Sex, bloody on your dress, spelling out a giddy SOS
Sucking on your thumb, flip the man the bird till it goes numb
You’re wilding in the park, kicking out headlights in the dark
Groping for the switch, you turn the boys on,
you’re such a bitch

I’ll be following you
Watching your every move
Cuz I’m a true believer, I’m an idolizer
And I want you

Print of a whisper-kiss, go out on a date with your therapist
Skinning up your knees, asking him to marry you, say please
But you’re just a tease, flutter like a kite stuck in the trees
A human sacrifice, take her if you wanna role the dice

I’ll be following you (watching your every move)
Watching your every move (I’ll be following you)
Cuz I’m a star-crossed loser, I’m a colorizer
And I want you

Sun, yellow on the bed, prison bars will taunt you
till you’re dead
Where did they all go? Hear the voice of God on the radio
They’re pounding on your door,
knowing you can’t leave your room anymore
Faith is all you’ve got, make up memories that you forgot

True believer, I’m an idolozer
And I want you
Star-crossed loser, I’m a colorizer
And I want you

(I’ll be following you)
(Watching your every move)
(Wanting to be with you)
(I’ll be following you)
(Watching your every move)

I want you

Okay so, a side project has just begun...
Maki Maruyama and I...have started a new music project
(this has nothing to do with ABH...and sounds nothing like it...if you believe that)
just when you thought it couldn't sound more different or experimental...just wait till the EP

Rebecca VS Mexico
is the tentative project name

this is more about Maki than I...
Maki is a Fine Arts Major who Graduated from the Corcoran in DC
we both have very different influences and sounds in our life
his top five artists are
1. Number Girl (Japanese Group)
2. VERSUS (New York Indie Band from the 90's)
3. The Pixies
4. Shiina Ringo (Japanese Pop-Singer)
5. The Breeders

We both do Vocals, Bass, Acoustic & Electric Guitars, Piano, Synth,
and whatever else we can get our hands on to make musical fusion

Check for a new MYSPACE music profile in the next few months...
